Lomachenko opens up as high as a 1/8 Favorite.

Odds so far range between 1/6-1/8

Seems really wide, how do they think Rigo had more of a shot?

They learned their lesson with Rigo I guess and you had a lot of suckers that felt Rigo was going to win. In addition Rigo was in all top 10 pound for pounds and many top 5's.

But I agree I view Linares as a far bigger threat. I think 6-1 sounds about right. Linares won't win but he'll do fairly well.

Linares lost to two journeyman and was koed by one. Rigo was p4p number 1 by many and undefeated.

-800ish damn lol. But I guess its not surprising.

But I don't think this is saying Rigo had more of a shot so much as what he did to Rigo is making odds bigger vs guys seen as lesser accomplished/less of a threat to beat Loma than Rigo going in. Like I think Linares would have much closer odds to Rigo odds or better if the Rigo fight hadn't happened.

Odds are just perception & perception changes with every fight.

The odds may actually widen in a few weeks or so. Linares isn't that good at all.

Seems too wide I mean that's about what Lipps was vs Garcia. This is a better fight then that one imo.

Good points and people also need to remember their not trying to pick winner their trying to figure out HOW YOU will bet more than anything.

                Let's not over exaggerate here.

Rigo was nowhere close to #1 P4P. He was on some lists at like #7/#8, but he was extremely overrated. He had one great win, no good wins and terrific amateur background. That was it.

And the guys that Linares lost to were not journeymen. They were good fighters in their own right. Plus, that was what, 6 years ago?

Watch some of Linares' fights - he's a live dog in this one.

probably because even though he was smaller than Loma, Rigo is better and more respected than Linares is.

Loma would also be a favorite vs Mikey. he'll pretty much be the favorite vs anybody you name. but expect Loma haters to begin shredding Linares apart. it's what they do. Arum would never allow this doe. . Loma is head n shoulders above Crawford for the P4P spot. Period.
