Canelo Alvarez's positive drug test: Enough is enough. Alvarez tested positive for the banned performance-enhancing drug clenbuterol, which the fighter blames on contaminated meat he consumed in Mexico. And, indeed, a doping official confirmed that "these values are all within the range of what is expected from meat contamination." That shouldn't matter.

Canelo got caught cycling. he's coming off a fight where his biggest issue was gassing out. now he pops dirty for a PED that increases stamina. it's the meat doe. FOH.

Mikey's ceiling is 140. stay away from WW.

Indongo gettin his ass whipped by everybody.

Nery getting punished because he's a small fry. Period. If missing weight was a ban worthy offense why let the fight take place?

Mikey looked a little pudgy around the middle at 140 - but clearly got what it takes at that weight (all credit to him). But if he's struggling to get up to 140, where is he going to put on that extra 7 lbs for 147 one wonders ?

      Maybe Canelo's dietitian could help......

"A fighter is responsible for what goes into his body intentional or otherwise"

Its almost like you pulled my argument over this word for word. With that said this is exactly the point, literally! The whole its a common problem excuse doesn't fly and should not be allowed as an excuse. I guarantee you if the suspended Canelo for a full 12 months we'd never hear the meat excuse ever again.

VADA, with high profile stars and competitive promotional teams, start at 2 months in testing to the fight.

Canelo was able to slip most of Golovkin's shots, assuming that he was was optimized or as heavy as his team could gamble, and we all saw how Canelo chose to bulk up in preparation for 160 yet starting with JCC. It's hard to imagine that Canelo would have a hard time from 155-160 since Smith.

On the contrary, Canelo's team would've chose to take in less protein intake since Sept. of last year. Meaning, Canelo could come in around 157-158 with speed as the advantage as well as stamina. Draining from the weigh in from 78 days out, how does Clen help that?

Canelo would need Clen in his system Starting in April to continue stamina optimization, assuming the "help to breathe theory" would benefit Alvarez. If the theory is that "you cant fix stamina" then how does Clen help a boxer, assuming he was using it before the testing.
How does breathing for just one month in high altitude help come May 2018? How does January or February help Canelo when the real grind comes in camp starting 60 days to the fight, all which VADA has been testing CANELO for years.

Nobody cares that Golovkin started 2 weeks as well as Lemeiux for their fight. What was in Gennady's system 78 days out before Lemeiux?

Clen traces and cases have always been instances during in game performances not the off season. As in cyclists like Armstrong or Contador that flushed it out of their systems the days before performance.

Then Abel Sanchez talking about wraps just recently. Seems like HBO are just cooking hype for the rematch for their own game. Canelo and GGG is all they have left and are desperate. With ESPN at #2 and Showtime #1.

          # you cant help stamina....
          # but clen can 3 months out? ..sure...
          # Canelo never looks fat in his consistent social media pics

Lipnets was much better than I thought he was. Hes a tough out at 140 and was trying to take Mikey's head off. 140 is too high for him. 147 would be a for sure loss against any champ.

The theory is that Clen would help Canelo's stamina. How? Canelo has looked the same for years. If he put on more weight for the rematch, how would that help his performance if he was criticized to gas out? even if they wanted to use the IV-gate theory or Contador, then wouldn't it benefit VADA and Loeffler had they found ultra low cases of Clen in Nelo's system the week of the fight? People casually ignore VADA testing.

IDK??? If hes doing it for stamina its having the wrong effect lol....Fine him $1,000,000, give GGG another 1,000,000 and true random with double, triple the tests on his dime and move on. If busted again 1 year suspension. 3rd time lifetime ban.

The benefits dont even come close to the risk IMO. Thats why I kind of believe he eat some bad meat. If hes a cheater hell get caught again.

Some are suggesting now that GGG's legs are fading per braces on his knees while training. Expect a Sergio Martinez or Heilland narrative to save Golovkin. "Oh his knees were shot and Canelo cheated with Clen months out and cheated with wraps."
