It was hard to give Garcia any rounds after the knockout and that score is why boxing is a bad sport. It's not often the good fighters who win fights but certain careers have to be protected. Lipinets was robbed in that fight as he deserved the win. Many people won't see that because they listen to ignorant commentators. The Showtime commentator was more of a Garcia Cheerleader than a commentator and wouldn't say much when Lipinets was landing shots. No disrespect to Garcia, he is a good fighter but not as good as they want us to believe he is. Let him go to 147lbs and fight the good fighters and you will see he is a house built on sand.

Mikey won and is the best at 135 and 140. Still, a very underwhelming performance for Mikey. He throws and lands a ton of power shots that look and sound like they would definitely hurt. But AB and Lipinets both took his best shots without backing up at all. They walked right through Mikey's shots. They must not have as much power as they look like. His fight against AB was pure dominance, amazing display of skill. He definitely won handily against Lipinets, but it was winning rounds. Not dominating, at any point, but just constantly being a little better. He could stay at 135 and 140 and keep belts in both divisions while easily winning every fight, but he will jump to ww and lose. The money is at 147. Mikey is just a little bit too small to win against the best in the money division.

Only difference I saw between these two really was size and power. Showtime listed Mikey as being under 150 lbs in the ring... he was 170 just a month ago or so in camp. I don't believe that for a second. Mikey looks like another one of these clenbuterol weight bully guys, and every time Lipinets hit him with stinging shots it was like a lightweight hitting a welterweight. If Lipinets wants to be elite he basically has the skills of Mikey, but he needs to do the same weight bully **** Mikey does and go down to 135 otherwise the weight bullies at 140 like Mikey and Prograis will just walk through all his best shots. That was really the difference in the fight.

I also think Lipinets has bad fundamentals ducking the right hand, but Mikey has some bad defensive habits too. Their styles are a little different but overall these guys showed equal skill, Mikey was just bigger, more powerful, and impossible for Lipinets to hurt. Mikey showed tonight he is overrated and if he was fighting guys his size, he would be in trouble.

Yeah and Floyd was only 150 in the ring vs all his opponents. In my opinion, Showtime has been lying about weight night weights for years with certain privileged Haymon boxers, and Mikey said he is following Floyd's blueprint, so put 2 and 2 together. He was way more than 150 in that ring tonight.

What great performances made Lipinets so good? What good fighters did he beat? How many fights did you watch of him before tonight? What do you know about his amateur experience? If TBRB had ranked 13 fights Lipinets whose best win is some unknown japanese dude with 6 losses, at #1 that tells you everything you need to know about the division. Lipinets was a green rookie, not ready for a really good fighter like Garcia. 140 is the worst division in the sport for a long time now. There was Crawford who collected belts vs the likes of Postol and Indongo, both lost several times already, now Crawford moved up and Garcia collects belts from nobodies.

What??? Would you rather see him fight guys 1-2 weight classes lower???
