Anyways, what do you think? Should he wait for Joshua, fight Povetkin, or who?...
He should fight Joshua but if Hearn(and Joshua at some point)don't stand up and take fight he should fight Breazeale and get him out of way so they can fight at end of year.Let Joshua fight the other juicehead if he don't want any of Wilder. The funny thing is NONE of the alpha bit boys have called for a mand YET its only Hearn who keeps talking about it.Funny don't hear managers/fighters talking about their mand till they have to but it sure looks like Hearn is HOPEING for it.Matter a fact I bet he is asking them to set a mand.

      c. WBA order a mandatory defence to Povetkin?

in which case maybe Miller could be another opponent for DW?
I don't think they will make the fight immediately. This is just my opinion. I think Hearn will tell Wilder that they want to boost it just a little bit more. AJ will make a US debut - Wilder will fight in the UK and then they will get it on. The earliest I see this happening is the end of the year. It is not going to be the next fight.

As for the mandatories, all the boxing councils will get paid to give AJ-Wilder a pass. Money talks! I don't see Big Baby beating AJ; I don't see any of the guys I mentioned beating Wilder too.

Is the Price/Povetkin fight sanctioned by the IBF? I dont really see to many sanctioning bodies enforcing mandatories other than the IBF...

If he's doing an interim fight perhaps something easier like Whyte or Brezeale. Thing with Povetkin is that he could fail another test weeks out then we've got a waste of time mismatch like Stiverne again.

I think it will be Joshua-Miller in August and then Joshua-Wilder probably around this time next year in Vegas. As far as mando's to fulfill. Do we really believe an organization will get in the way and enforce a mando given that they will want their 3% from a money spinner like Joshua-Wilder?

I honestly feel Aj vs Wilder will be in 2019 and I think the build up would be worth it.. In the mean Wilder can fight Ortiz again, it was a very good fight.. or he can fight Parker..
AJ vs Wilder winner can take on Fury assuming he is in shape by then and has got some ring rust off..

My understanding is that the WBO has accepted that fight as a final eliminator since Povetkin is already #1 in their rankings. This next part is all just my opinion, but I think this is Hearn's plan for Joshua.

                Beat Parker
Introduce AJ to America with a fight against Big Baby in Brooklyn in the Summer
Convince Wilder to come to England and fight Whyte in the same time-span as above
Have Joshua make defense against Povetkin back in UK in the Winter
Meet Wilder for all the belts in Spring 2019 in US

Guessing his outline looks something like this, we will see how all the pieces fall into play

Agreed. I think Povetkin is a good one just because he has the same Ortiz myth as being better than Wilder. Whyte is a good one just to shut him up - he has been talking too much crap about Wilder not having a chin and not having skills (you will think Whyte is more skilled).

The thread title is wrong. Joshua is waiting on Wilder to be reasonable with the split. When he stops asking for too much he will get the fight.
