Should Wilder wait on Joshua? Or...

Would you mind seeing him vs Povetkin (assuming he gets passed price)? The beef/build up to this fight I think would carry the same animosity that Ortiz vs Wilder had with a much larger fan base. in fact I think they should invite President Trump to this 1. Itd be interesting to see who he is rooting for...

Anyways, what do you think? Should he wait for Joshua, fight Povetkin, or who?...

Time for Joshua man, Wilder does not have to clean up all the trash for Joshua, hell he just beat his last mandatory, why does he have to beat another?

I totally agree but you know how things go. I guarantee Fury beats some European journeyman and gets Joshua next. Wilders either got to sit out or take a stay busy.

Povetkin is lining himself up to be the mandatory for the Parker/Joshua winner, he wants that AJ payday. That's why he's fighting Price on the undercard, he's ready to #EarnwithHearn

He's 33 in October, he can't afford to wait indefinitely. I don't know when his next mandatory defence is due, that could mean facing Dillian Whyte.

Having won much respect for defeating Ortiz I hope he keeps looking for fights at the highest level. No-one outside the top 10 hopefully. If he beats a Povetkin or Pulev that will enhance his reputation and increase the pressure on Joshua to make the fight.

He'll find it hard though, no-one will want to risk a fight with AJ for a far less lucrative date with Deontay.

I think if AJ is not ready, Wilder should choose from the following:

                  1. Whyte - (assuming AJ fights Big Baby in the US; Wilder should fight him in UK)

                  2. Povetkin - another big name although a PED expert. Take him out too.

                  3. Ortiz rematch - this can be 2 also

                  4. Dominic Breazeale - get a personal beef out of the way and shut him up too.

All of these is assuming either of the following:

                  a. AJ wins against Parker and does not want to fight Wilder immediately

                  b. AJ loses against Parker and exercises the rematch clause.

I think they'll make the fight, it makes so much money if they're both undefeated. Although maybe...

                    c. WBA order a mandatory defence to Povetkin?

in which case maybe Miller could be another opponent for DW?
