Oh yeah i agree with you...Roy would have beaten Gman rather easily in my opinion.Originally posted by RunWithKnivesSo what.
Roy would have totally demolished the Gman given they fought in 95. He was nowhere near his level as a fighter.
Nunn this, Mclellan this, Nigel Benn that, Michaelsveski this.
All bums compared to Roy.....the whole lot.Comment

I'm 100% sure prime Roy would have stopped Benn.Originally posted by 4CornerMessiahI remember reading that Roy would avoid Been like it was the plague..which is a major BULL****!
He would have made him look ******ed, then just beat him untill the ref called the fight off. He was too fast, believe it.

He was a ****in' beast at 160 and 168. I remember seeing him early in his career he was fighting a journeyman with a respectable record. Took him 2 rounds to dispatch the guy and he never wasted ANY punches. He was THAT perfect.Comment

I agree with almost everyone of these posts.....no way does Benn beat Jones and no way does Gman either.Comment

Roy Jones Jr's mind is very complex, if no one has noticed. I mean look at him first time him and Griffin fought it took Jones some rounds to get Griffin down, but that DQ spoiled it all for him, but in their rematch Jones went in and took Griffin out in a first round knock out. He's that dangerous when motivated..Comment

give roy jones was credit..he's the only guy in the history of boxing to arguable NOT LOSE A ROUND in over a decade
and at 160 he could have been very julian jackson like if he wanted to..he had deadly speed and power and could knock out everybody i think..even bernard hopkinsComment

I was a McClellan fan. He truly was a mammoth puncher, who had skills, & was as intimidating a fighter as I have ever seen.
But.....
There are far too many people out there who think he'd have beaten Jones.
He'd have been beaten very, very easily by Jones. Especially considering how, by the time he faced Benn, he had completely chucked the boxing skills he had out the window.
He was too predictable to effect Roy Jones.......& he would have been smacked around by Roy.Comment

I agree with the previous poster who said Roy Jones is the Most Talented Fighter I have ever seen and is a great fighter, but he is not the best. Once Roy lost that Razors edge in physical talent he didn't have the technical skills to continue to be succesful even though he was still as talented as any but he was no longer superman.
Hopkins, Ali and even James Toney are examples of guys who have evolved there technical skills when they saw that they could no longer win fights based on there pure superior talent.
For this reason I think its hard to gauge where Roy will stand on all-time list.Comment

He never lost a single round in the Olympics in Seoul Korea until he fought Park Si Hun, which he won every single round, but was robbed of the gold medal..Originally posted by dinogive roy jones was credit..he's the only guy in the history of boxing to arguable NOT LOSE A ROUND in over a decadeComment
