Though I rooted against him for a large part of his career....
I always thought he was the most gifted fighter ever.....& over the 25 years I've followed the sport, I never thought any fighter was as unbeatable as he was.

And what fight where you talking about?
His Mclellan fight. He put him down in one of the later rounds if I can remember.

Prime Roy Jones was a class above everyone else I can ever remember watching fight in the ring.

I'm talking about when he was setting compubox records that will never be broken.

He's the most accurate puncher I've ever seen in the ring, times ten. Plus he was fast, and highly skilled at counterpunching.

I've never seen another jab like his either, because his is one of the best or I just don't watch enough boxing. He used it perfectly against Pazienza. It's like he could hit Pazienza 3 times, but it looked like he only did it once.

Roy's best punch was the left hook hands down.

It was so versatile, that he'd just lead with it all fight long because he was so fast.

He had that option, in that he could just get out of the way if someone tried to counter.

Nobody could counter, because he was too fast and accurate.

Yes his left hook was disputedly the best hook in the game for a long time. I remember when he took Virgil down with a hook, but the greatest i've seen his hook was when he fought Griffin the 2nd time and sent him stumbling into the ropes from the center of the ring.

                      So what.

Roy would have totally demolished the Gman given they fought in 95. He was nowhere near his level as a fighter.

Nunn this, Mclellan this, Nigel Benn that, Michaelsveski this.

All bums compared to Roy.....the whole lot.
