I just showed you evidence to the contrary, and you go on repeating the same point? Spain, France, Ireland and other Euroean countries has had Clenbuterol in their food.
Stop comparing cyclist failed tests to Canelo

in other words the rules don't apply to contaminated Mexican meat eaters.
it doesn't matter how the substance got there. it's there. it's a violation. punish him. period.
a boxer at the highest level who probably has pro chefs monitoring his diet is eating low quality dope up meat? please.
and not ALL meat in Mexico is tainted.
we should be seeing hundreds of athletes popping dirty not isolated incidents. you mean to tell me Marquez, Chavez Sr/Jr, Vazquez, Rios etc they all missed out on this delicious steroid beef?
Arreola is a HW that eats anything in sight but he never pops for tainted meat? strange.
intent doesn't matter. if that's the case all dopers need to do is go to Mexico to cheat.
if there was anything integrity they would fine and suspend Canelo. he is responsible for anything in his body.
if tainted meat is such a widespread health crisis in Mexico then why TF is he training there? why eat the fckn meat in the first place? him and his team know of the issue they know others have popped dirty and they still consume the meat.
and again rich ass Canelo is not eating poverty beef.Comment

Go take that up with the drug testing agencies then. I'm sure they'll listen to you and your vast knowledge on the subject.in other words the rules don't apply to contaminated Mexican meat eaters.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27084902We present a case of acute clenbuterol toxicity following ingestion of 20 μg of clenbuterol, resulting in symptoms of sympathetic activation, sinus tachycardia and electrolyte derangement. The patient was managed conservatively with fluid resuscitation, electrolyte replacement and monitoring, and discharged following a 5-day stay in hospital.
Clenbuterol use for body building and slimming has increased dramatically, often with dangerous consequences
Problem in Australia
Medical Toxicology of Drug Abuse: Synthesized Chemicals and Psychoactive Plants by Donald G. Barceloux page 295 describes the dangers
It's banned for human consumption for a very good reason. If it was healthy and made us all run marathons, I doubt they would ban it.Comment

No you provided an article from a decade ago stating back in 1990 Spain might of had an issue and quotes from the cyclist making that claim. Nothing stating today there is a meat problem in Spain and even when this cyclist made the claim Spain came out blasting his claim they have a problem with their meat. The drug agencies didn't buy it. Spain and these other countries are not on the list of countries with this problem Mexico is that's the facts and why this is a different situation. And there is hard evidence that proves the issue in Mexico meat is real.I just showed you evidence to the contrary, and you go on repeating the same point? The biggest association of Spanish meat producers, Asoprovac, has reacted firmly to Alberto Contador's claim that the ingestion of Clenbuterol-tainted meat caused his doping positive. The association, which accounts for 85 percent of the country's meat production industry, denied the possibility of contaminated meat on the Spanish market and has asked the public prosecutor to investigate the case.
"The rider attacks this production sector with impunity and falsifies the truth, calling into question the exhaustive control systems that are applied to bovine meat in the European Union and also in our country," Asoprovac declared.
Contador notably stated that in Spain, cattle were being illegally treated with Clenbuterol. "This is absolutely false," the association stated. "In 2010, the authorities carried out 14,179 controls, and there was not one positive case for Clenbuterol."Last edited by bigdunny1; 03-07-2018, 04:33 PM.Comment

yes, and it was also his opinion that Ortiz came up positive cuz of blood pressure meds...but he was instantly labeled a drug cheat on here.
one of 2 things...either canelo ignored the possibility of contaminated meat knowing he'd get a pass, or he cheated and used this as a means to cover it up. just knowing that contaminated meat is an issue there, and being enrolled in drug testing for an upcoming ppv fight pretty well precludes him from pleading ignorance.Comment

It’s not a health crisis in Mexico you dumb f**k. It’s not a problem for Mexico at all. It’s just a problem for Mexican athletes that get tested by foreign testing agencies.in other words the rules don't apply to contaminated Mexican meat eaters.

Either these agencies can allow it to continue to happen and decide on a case by case basis whether it was meat contimination like they currently do or they can make a rule to close that loophole and punish athletes that might be innocent.Comment
