Considering that Wilder was standing right behind Finkel nodding in agreement when this was said, i think its safe to say he knows.

Any intelligent boxing fan knows this too. The split will be between 35 - 40%.

Just like we knew Parker would get between 30 - 35%. This ain't rocket science.

AJ's fan base are true protectionists lol

It should happen next when AJ. has done with Parker.Nobody wants to see AJ. fight Miller or Whyte.....let them fight each other assuming Whyte gets past Browne.

It take two to put on such a big fight and if Aj. losers he should drop down to what Wilder accepts for the first fight in a rematch.

Stop messing about and stalling this fight not happening would be a disgrace .

Wilder is calling for the fight now but Joshua don’t want it.

He’s ready to compromise on almost everything to get it done.

If the fight don’t get igned it is because AJ is a coward

Don't think Wilder is going to get much more than 35%. AJ will have another belt if he beats Parker and doesn't need the fight as much as Wilder.

If you want to see this fight then don't post things like "AJ will have another belt if he beats Parker and doesn't need the fight as much as Wilder." cuz it makes you sound like you shook for AJ & don't want him to lose.

He's just stating a fact. Only thing it makes him look is realistic.

Finkel can never accuse AJ of ducking after that Deontay is just a baby heavyweight speech in the press when DW got his title and Finkel was asked if they were going to fight Vlad.

On the Deontay scale AJ has another 19 fights before he has to challenge the WBC and even that's unfair on AJ given he has collected two of the belts already and on the way to another (Parker permitting)

I’ve heard he manages a few big names.

This rubbed me the wrong way

“I don’t pay for rent by percentages. I pay for rent by what the fighter gets. And that’s what we’re looking for.”

managers and promotors are having the boundaries between them blurred by what haymon does, but here is the gist of it.

promoters typically secure site and TV. TV typically pays for fights, sites can cost money but sometimes they'll be free or put up money for big fights if it will generate enough ******** revenue. promoters pay fighters an agreed upon purse or percentage of revenue, subtract their expenses, and profit.

managers operate differently. managers work for a fighter and are supposed to look out for his interests. thing about a manager in baseball. they negotiate terms with the promoter on behalf of the fighter, like purse, length of a contract, etc. they're paid a percentage of what the fighter makes, typically around 30% and required by law to be under 33%.

there is also a law which stipulates that you cannot both promote and manage a fighter, because the two interests are seperate.

think of it this way. fighter is employed by a promoter. he makes money on revenue that exists after the fighter is paid. manager is hired by a fighter as an agent and gets a percent from the fighter.

haymon is technically a manger / adviser. he makes a percentage. but he also uses promoters as proxies to fight under his PBC banner, for which HE has secured TV time and off of which he profits by selling advertisements. he's been known for years to have relationships and negotiations with TV networks and for securing spots for his fighters on the networks, which really isn't what a promoter does.
