He has heart, reach - though not as much reach as Fury - and power .. and that's it. It takes more than that to hold on to a world title if you are fighting the best men your division, which Wilder hasn't done so far.

Fury may not be quite 6' 9", but he is taller, longer, and out of sight more skillful and talented than Wilder.
Well he has fought one of the best now give him that. Its true and fair.As far as the rest we will just have to agree to disagree as we are far apart. But most of all(even if I'm wrong though don't think so)I hope Fury gets his sh ite together and we find out in the RING.Its whats BEST FOR BOXING.

If I'm wilder I'd go straight for this fight asap if he can't get a fight with AJ. This is the perfect time to fight fury in the UK. That way he can get used to the crowds. And then he should fight Whyte if they'll still pay him the same amount of money.

Wilder has never fought anybody taller and longer than him, and there is nothing in the rules of boxing that says Fury can only defend, and isn't allowed to hit Deontay back!

I see Fury's jabs and crosses zooming in on Wilder's head all night, and by the 9/10th rounds Deontay's face would be looking like raw hamburger, just like Chisora's after he'd been eating Fury's jab for 10 rounds.

Wilder has a puncher's chance, for sure. But a fit Tyson Fury beats him 99 times out of a hundred .. and he makes it look easy.
Hilarious post. I hope they do fight ill make you a personal bet on it through PayPal or MoneyGram. At least one stack but I don't know your financial situation. Fury beat Wlad and people look at him like he's a giant Larry Holmes around here? Not to mention the abuse he's put his body through in the last 4 or 5 years.

Wlads reflexes were shot. It was obvious. They were in the Joshua fight as well and the fact that he almost won anyways shows how great of a champ he really was. Ali was shot at 34. Wlad was indeed shot at 39. End of discussion.

Tyson is way off form. But, if he's in shape, he's right. He has a the worst style Deontay could wish for, he wouldn't land a single windmill on Fury all night and would just eat jab after jab on the way to a points demolition. I dunno how many fights Wilder needs to have, the man is not a good boxer. He is huge, he takes big reach, speed and power advantages into almost every fight, the problem for him with Fury is he will get outboxed and he won't know what to do about it.

One thing Fury and Wilder have in common is that they both get ripped and mocked by boxing "purists" and they both keep winning, so no surprise that opinions are miles apart when it comes to them fighting each other!

Like many prize fights, Wilder-Ortiz has taken on a life of its own. And what actually happened in the ring doesn’t completely reflect what happened in the ring.

Most folks, Wilder’s critics in particular are acting as if Wilder was being completely outclassed. And in the tenth, landed a bomb that let him win the fight. When in reality, the fight was close throughout. It kinda reminded me of Canelo-GGG. GGG out-jabbed Canelo throughout the fight. Canelo landed the cleaner, showier punches. Wilder out-jabbed Ortiz throughout the fight and landed more punches overall. But it was Ortiz that landed the clearer shots. The main differences in those two fights were that the jabber actually landed the harder shots that did visible damage. Where GGG never seemed to dent Canelo.

I say that to say that the notion that Fury is Floyd Mayweather technically as a heavyweight is silly. Just like the notion that Wilder is this free swinging amateur that only hits are is ridiculous as well. Wilder has special power. When he hits guys, he short circuits them. But he knows how to get his offense off. He takes his time, working behind his jab to get in range. He knows how to position guys in order to land his shots. And he’s defensively responsible enough that he has an escape plan when he throws. Fury may well outbox Wilder. But I doubt he shuts him out and doesn’t have an anxious moment or two.

On a side note. I don’t even care about Fury, or any other of Wilder’s opponents chin. Wilder appears to have that special, once in a generation type power. Where if lands, it’s a problem. Along the same line as guys like Tito, Tyson, Julian Jackson, Hearns, etc. And even if Wilder isn’t as good as those guys. It’s hard to keep guys like that off you if you can’t hit them hard enough to get their respect. I don’t think Fury can make Wilder gunshy. Which means he’s gonna have to be close to perfect in order to not taste that freakish power Wilder has. It’s a y’all task.

All you Fury fans are living in Fantasyland Wilder will slept Tyson quicker and more brutal then he did Ortiz. It wiil be like a redwood tree dropping in the forest. When Bomb squad affect goes full throttle with the overhand right it will be good night. Sets everything off his jab. Once wilder got his jab going I knew Ortiz was in trouble. That's exactly is going to happen to Fury and have that same look wtf just hit me.
