They said the investigation will take a month (are they doing the hair follicle test?). Looks like ol' Liam and company are making sure that there's a daily reminder so it's not just forgotten like every other major 24 hour news cycle.

THERE IS NO SMOKE WITHOUT FIRE! Bottom line its a ban substance.I think you may be taking the conversation to far. You, and several others, are now assuming all on your own you know his social, weekend, eating, and nutrition habits? He lives in a high castle looking down upon the unwashed masses, never goes out to eat, never grabs a steak at a childhood friends house on a Saturday night?
I really want to stick to facts. I do NOT want to become a Alvarez defender, but we truly do not have a pattern of cheating from him (yet). There is an acknowledged problem with beef being tainted with a steroid used on the cattle that also shows up in urine in testing. Until we know more, would it kill everyone to hope for the best?
I want to see Trip G win in the ring, not be denied his chance due to a trace amount of near nothing.Last edited by chubuk7; 03-06-2018, 07:57 PM.Comment

Looks like the Canelo haters were standing in line in case something like this happened. Maybe it makes them feel good to gloat?
So, if there is a widespread problem with Mexican meat, then I guess if Canelo's chef get's his act together and gets meat specially shipped in from the States FNO, we'll see no more trace elements come back in the tests, right? So there will be your positive proof, one way or another. Geez, don't let your jockstrap strangle the little soldier so fast. Adjust the damn thing and chill out.Comment

Certainly NOT arguing that, but there is also documented proof of the tainted beef and the fact there is no way to tell the two substances apart. Without a larger amount in the failed test or a paper trail of purchased PED's by Alvarez' camp, the smoke in question can come from two very real sources. Let's not forget poppy seed muffins can give a positive for marijuana on some tests. This is not out of the realm of sanity.
Not sure why I am defending the man on this site, but Alvarez - in only my opinion- deserves the benefit of the doubt until more damning evidence is provided.Comment

Wheres b!tchstomps?? Most likely on his $h!tty little w@nk stained single bed in his parents basment surrounded by cheatnelo posters on the walls crying into his pillow CANELO!! WHY!!. That's what I think.Comment

It's disappointing Canelo tested positive for a banned substance but to put all Mexican fighters in the same category is a stretch. Povetkin tested positive, Peterson tested positive, John Molina, Vitali Klitschko, Lucian Bute, Fonfara, James Toney and Tommy Morrison etc... I still believe Canelo should be punished for what he's done but to classify a whole race as cheats is crazy dude.Comment

Thank-you. I have no problem taking the minority opinion, but honestly have felt I am alone in thinking this may be much ado about not a freaking thing until we get more evidence.Looks like the Canelo haters were standing in line in case something like this happened. I still want to see the fight I just think they should monitor Canelo closely leading up to the fight. Maybe it was a accident but if it's not this is a bad look for Canelo and him being the "face of boxing".Comment
