I really want to stick to facts. I do NOT want to become a Alvarez defender, but we truly do not have a pattern of cheating from him (yet). There is an acknowledged problem with beef being tainted with a steroid used on the cattle that also shows up in urine in testing. Until we know more, would it kill everyone to hope for the best?

I want to see Trip G win in the ring, not be denied his chance due to a trace amount of near nothing.

So, if there is a widespread problem with Mexican meat, then I guess if Canelo's chef get's his act together and gets meat specially shipped in from the States FNO, we'll see no more trace elements come back in the tests, right? Certainly NOT arguing that, but there is also documented proof of the tainted beef and the fact there is no way to tell the two substances apart. Without a larger amount in the failed test or a paper trail of purchased PED's by Alvarez' camp, the smoke in question can come from two very real sources. Let's not forget poppy seed muffins can give a positive for marijuana on some tests. This is not out of the realm of sanity.

Not sure why I am defending the man on this site, but Alvarez - in only my opinion- deserves the benefit of the doubt until more damning evidence is provided.

It's disappointing Canelo tested positive for a banned substance but to put all Mexican fighters in the same category is a stretch. Povetkin tested positive, Peterson tested positive, John Molina, Vitali Klitschko, Lucian Bute, Fonfara, James Toney and Tommy Morrison etc... I still believe Canelo should be punished for what he's done but to classify a whole race as cheats is crazy dude.

Thank-you. I have no problem taking the minority opinion, but honestly have felt I am alone in thinking this may be much ado about not a freaking thing until we get more evidence.

I still want to see the fight I just think they should monitor Canelo closely leading up to the fight. Maybe it was a accident but if it's not this is a bad look for Canelo and him being the "face of boxing".
