GG's popularity isn't as strong as it was a year ago. After the Jacobs fight, the GG hardcores realized he's not invincible, and he's getting older. Even though he should have won the Canelo fight, it seems people still aren't confident in him winning the rematch because Canelo was the better boxer.

But, what if they had a way out? To preemptively dismiss Canelo so they don't have to look bad if Canelo wins the rematch?? Also, a way to let go of GG because they feel a loss may be coming.

Since it’s clear that the (laughable) “sanctioning” bodies have to much money to lose by cancelling Clenelos challenge, GGG should use this mess to his advantage: Golovkin now has a free pass and perfectly legal excuse to start his own clenbuterol treatment. I'm a fan of Golovkin and I want to see those two guys fight because it would be an intriguing fight. Golovkin could fight the winner most likely Jacobs. How long do we have to wait for Jacobs and Charlo to take on a meaningful challenge. G is going to fight Saunders next if he wins. Are these two guys just going to sit around doing essentially nothing waiting for the Golovkin or Canelo pay day. How about Saunders fighting one of these two guys. The winner gets Golovkin for all the belts.
