Jacobs did well and won rounds but not more than 5. But the notion that he ducked Jacobs to fight Canelo after the same people said GGG was running scared of Canelo is a bit tedious. That was considered not only the biggest match in Boxing but also the best match-up. He would have been crucified for fighting Jacobs again.

Mayweather ducked De La Hoya after he got a gift over him and broke the contract but they don't like to talk about that.
