The ggg and danny Jacobs fight was extremely close so why not do the immediate rematch?

That fight was as close as any fight could get, but instead he was chasing the money.

Golovkin was ordered to rematch Canelo by the WBC and he signed a contract to do it.

Unless Canelo is charged with PED abuse and we get an official postponement - which isn't going to happen - GGG has to go through with the fight or be sued by GBP and stripped of his WBC title.

Whether he would fight anyway, for the money, is irrelevant. He has no choice.
