Hate him or love him, recently, Broner has rarely been involved in "tuneups". In this day and age, few guys would take a "144lbs version of Jessie Vargas" as a comeback fight after a loss and a long layoff.

I have much more respect for Broner than Khan. They both talk too much, both lose their biggest fights, but only one seems like they'll at least fight other contenders who are threats. I wouldn't be surprised if AB lost or won this one. Vargas is a good test for anyone, if you ask me!!!!

Figueroa phuked up and lost a great opportunity. lol This is a strong replacement fight on short notice. Haymon tying to cash broner out figueroa was a dangerous fight coming off a loss a fight many were picking broner to lose. Now hes replaced with Vargas which is probably a tougher fight. Vargas is gritty, Broner struggled and some felt lost to granados. Vargas is much better then granados.
