Comments Thread For: Adrien Broner vs. Jessie Vargas at 144 Catchweight on April 21

Adrien Broner (33-3) was originally scheduled to face Omar Figueroa on April 21st at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. The fight was announced in January when Showtime held a press conference to announce most of their slate of fights for the first half of 2018. The fight had problems nearly from the get go as Broner was arrested last month for allegedly groping a woman at a mall in Atlanta. Shortly thereafter Figueroa was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated.

Oh damn. Broner probably bout to have another daddy. Don't hate Vargas' chances here thats for sure & I like Vargas' chances better than I liked Figueroa's chances.

Broner will lose, but it seems like he'll never go away no matter how many losses he takes. He'll get recycled after this L and show back up in another big fight in 9 months after dealing with some run in with the law and/or friend/family drama

Good fight. Still a good win for either man.

If this fight is at jr welterweight, Vargas took a sucker deal.

Josh Taylor threw his name in the hat on Twitter.

                    Broner don't want that work.
