Don't know that the 144 catchweight is gonna help or hurt either.

Hate on Broner all you want, but the man will fight anyone. Yes, he seems to always lose to elite opposition, but at least he fights them. While Vargas isn't really elite, he is pretty damn good, and bigger. Vargas at 144 is probably a tougher fight than Figoeura at 140. Credit to both men. Vargas on a month and a half notice and AB for taking Vargas.

Honestly, I don't know who wins. Never watched much of Vargas, so I'm not sure, but this a good match-up.

Not a good fight for Broner, even at 144. Bad style match up...

Holy crap! This is awesome way better than the original fight. I didn't even realise Vargas was a 2 weight champion. He doesn't f*** around I see him overwhelming AB!

AB not getting a gimmie which I thought he'd ask for.
I don’t think Broner cares who he fight’s anymore tbh, he just wants to get paid.

Hate him or love him, recently, Broner has rarely been involved in "tuneups". In this day and age, few guys would take a "144lbs version of Jessie Vargas" as a comeback fight after a loss and a long layoff.

Broner gets his azz beat up if he comes with that Mickey Garcia game plan. But he changed his trainer maybe that will help, who knows

This just shows how much of a player AB is! Even after all these subpar performances, he's still able to get Vargas @ 144. Manny can't get a fight in Manila, but AB can get fights in Ohio. Manny can't get Matthysse, but AB can get Vargas to drop 3lbs.! I'm still mad that AB didn't take the Pacquiao fight, but he has really made the most of his diminishing career! Salute to Haymon and Espinoza! I didn't see this one coming!

You could be right. But Adrian has proven to be able to take a punch. Even when he's hurt it's hard to get him out of there.
But I do have Jessie winning the fight.
                    It'll be a great fight.

This is a better fight than Figeroa, tougher too.
