You gotta be joking. Before the Ortiz fight, Wilder was definitely the b side and didn't have any real power in negotiations. Even though yes, Ortiz was old, it was still Wilder's toughest opponent and a top ranked guy, you have to give him credit for the win.
The worst thing for Wilder in possible negotiations with Joshua even after beating Ortiz is the fact that Joshua is still a much bigger draw, selling 80, 90,000 tickets.
I think it should be 65/35 in AJ's favor but Wilder probably won't agree to that and his camp will say AJ doesn't want the fight and AJ's camp will say Wilder is pricing himself out and it gets drawn out even further. I sure hope I'm wrong.
You got it to a tee. This fight is going to be difficult to close off at the negotiating table, I can’t see Wilder going any lower than 40 percent. Which would probably make Team Joshua walk away. Then we would get the back and forth in regards to who didn’t want it. Then we would get the fanboys jumping all both fights d*ck and telling us how much their market value is worth.
