Comments Thread For: DiBella: Joshua Watched 7th Round, Wanted Wilder; Not After 10th

NEW YORK Lou DiBella doesn't think Anthony Joshua will be any more eager to fight Deontay Wilder after watching Luis Ortiz nearly knock out Wilder on Saturday night. DiBella, who promoted the card headlined by Wilder-Ortiz at Barclays Center, figures Wilder's comeback and knockout of Ortiz will make the British knockout artist reluctant to fight Wilder later this year. Joshua-Wilder is the biggest fight that can be made within the heavyweight division and would generate eight-figure purses for England's Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) and Alabama's Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs).

Wilder and his team are gonna talk mad **** for the next few weeks while AJ is prepping for the Parker fight, lets see how things fall once both are free to negotiate.

Cong**** to Wilder, very impressive. If AJ gets past Parker (hopefully convincingly), now is the time to make the fight - it's not gonna get bigger than it is right now. I personally don't think anyone's been ducking anyone to this point, but next the month's gonna paint a clearer picture one way or the other.

Joshua is not 63 years old like Ortiz. Ortiz gave Wilder his toughest fight, wait till he meets Joshua. He will go down

I mean you're not all together wrong. Joshua is WAY more dangerous than Ortiz. Joshua is a hittable guy however and we've seen him in pretty big trouble on multiple occasions. You shouldn't be shocked if someone KOs Joshua including Wilder.

Joshua always has the first mover advantage and while he isn't a one punch ko artist he gets the job done. Wilder hasn't really been hit hard by a live opponent. He gOT hit by a pensioner who was also way shorter than him and he was ready to go. Joshua won't let him go once he smells blood and if he hurts you he will finish you off. Wolder is too dependant on his power, he will need more than power when facing Joshua.
