I didn't see anything that suggested Ortiz gassing out. What I remember was Wilder landing a counter right hand when he was on the ropes and then everything went downhill for Ortiz from there. It was a good fight, Ortiz is still a player in the division.

Tyson fury still the best Heavyweight when all is said and done. Wilder and Joshua are just keeping the throne warm .Comment

Nope. DiBella is WAY wrong. The 10th round didn't make AJ any more reluctant than he was over the past 2 years of avoiding him. That round just solidified his original belief of needing to stay far away from him.
Besides, even if AJ suddenly did want to make the fight before 2020, Hearn will not hear of it. No way his cash cow gets in there with Wilder before he lines up a successor to his cash cow throne.Comment

You Wilder Haters lose all credibility when you try to ridicule Ortiz as an opponent. He was a heavy handed undefeated highly skilled boxer puncher that did his best and almost got the job done. You idiots hate Wilder so much your comments are becoming more and more pitiful by the day.Comment

You seem like one of those Casual fans trying to pretend like you are a hardcore fan of boxing. Your comments doesn't make much sense. When you mention Tyson Fury as the best Heavyweight right now I can only assume you are taking the same drugs that your unlicensed mentally weak hero is on. Hes not even ready to fight how the f@ck can he be the best Heavyweight right now? Stop being so emotional and use your dam head.Comment

I like both Joshua and Wilder so it doesnt matter to me who wins when they fight. their both great exciting fighters who are vulnerable which makes them even more likeable. I just want to see the fight. Wilder has a lot of haters and these haters probably never even threw a punch in their entire miserable lives.Last edited by Calibaloc; 03-05-2018, 12:21 AM.Comment

Nothing was "old and shot" about Ortiz. Wilder basically stood on the outside for the first 9 rounds, and Ortiz countered everything Wilder threw. Ortiz age may have caught up a bit late in the 9th and 10th, and the younger, more athletic Wilder finally got in closer, which nullified Ortiz counters, and finished the job. I had Ortiz up 2 rounds. The ref was soooo close to waving it off in the 7th...another 15 seconds and we'd be talking about Ortiz/Joshua. But Wilder for walked through the fire and pulled it out, like a champ...same as AJ did against Wlad.
I'd expect to see the same game plan against AJ. Wilder on the outside for the first 4-6 rounds, hoping to tire AJ out.
He is a frustrating fight to watch for sure because of his lack of early action and lack of combinations...looking for that "one-punch" ... but I think he takes AJ out late.Last edited by donnyriz; 03-05-2018, 02:44 AM.Comment
