Wilder would be my favourite to beat AJ. and although Ortiz looked average and slow during his time in England my bet is Hearn did the right thing by not matching him with AJ.

The fight with AJ. needs to be made if as expected he gets past Parker. No more talk of Miller or Whyte please.

He landed some big shots in that round, the bell came at a good time for Wilder. I thought Ortiz was going to have him out of there.

Wilder was shook bad and look shakey going into that next round, but fair play to him as he got through it and got the win.

A **** fight that had its moments. A plodding older fighter walking down an uncoordinated, B level boxer with a punch. AJ will ruin Wilders party. lol! Wilder....what a con job.

The ref in the fight was awful. That 1st "slip" was a knockdown. Wilder jabbed him and he went down. Without that jab, Ortiz wouldn't have slipped. But horrible job by the ref in the fight
Son, keep your day job. You would never make it as a ref or judge in boxing. That was clearly and irrefutably a slip. To say it was anything else exposes the depth of your boxing knowledge. sshhhhhhhhhhh!!

Except that Ortiz couldn't due to his low stamina while Wlad had full tank of it but was rusty to feel that he really had to. Rusty killer instinct and bad advise from dumb Vitaliy did its job.

Ortiz, you suck man, you had an entire round after that and did nothing you let wilder recover lol

Wilder was hurt the entire next round on wobble legs and you didnt do ****, what are you talking about few seconds more?

The next round wilder was still badly hurt and you failed to capitalize on it.

Joshua and Wilder seem destined to fight a trilogy.
You were there bro? Question for you...was that the loudest that you have ever heard an arena get? It sounded insane once Wilder finished him and also when Ortiz had him reeling around in the 7th. I would have loved to have been there. Peace.

I am not sure how you draw that conclusion man. Joshua isn't as crafty as Ortiz in terms of being able to make a guy miss and punch blocking etc. Of course if AJ lands and gets Wilder hurt, he may be able to finish the job as he is probably a bigger puncher than Ortiz, but I don't see AJ being able to avoid that right hand. Both guys have shown the ability to recover so who knows but that is what will make the fight legendary.

Easily explained. NYSAC rules. Corner gets a full minute to work on their guy, doctor has complete power to check on any fighter at any time for safety reasons. There’s a whole thread on it. Try to keep up.
