Conditioning was the difference, Wilder in great shape and better powers of recovery, Ortiz faded a little bit down the stretch, hands a little lower .
Ortiz is such a great boxer though , good to see such craft in the heavyweight division, hes just old and maybe off his PEDs too as he looked softer and a bit weaker

After watching this fight, no way deontay wilder goes the distance with Anthony Joshua, Joshua stops him in 6

Completely agree but that hasn’t stopped people saying “Klitschko would’ve stopped Joshua if he had just stepped on the gas”

If Wilder had knocked him down a few seconds earlier in the fifth, Ortiz wouldn’t have been saved by the bell and Wilder would just as likely have gotten him out of there then.

And we would have been robbed of a great fight.

Why are people saying this was the best hw fight they have ever seen? First half of this fight was some of the most dreadful shyt i have ever seen. If the old cuban was just a few years younger he would have had wilder out of there in the 7th.

Reereee inexplicably gave Wilder an extra few seconds to recover before the 8th round as well.

Because Ortiz gave him the back of the head but I agree with your assessment, and I'm a huge Wilder fan.
The ref in the fight was awful. That 1st "slip" was a knockdown. Wilder jabbed him and he went down. Without that jab, Ortiz wouldn't have slipped. But horrible job by the ref in the fight
