He can, but let's be real here. If that fight wasn't held in the US then that would have probably been called off when he was being pummelled consistently in that round and that would have been a perfectly acceptable stoppage considering Wilder was severely unsteady on his legs for several minutes. Even after a minute sit down and then the extra 10 seconds doctor checkup he was still totally unsteady.

Don't forget Wilder got the KO against Washington whilst Washington was taking shots and staggering back less than Wilder was there.
