I can't wait for aj to counter you with straight shots you wild athlete. Your get out of jail card is your power and anything can happen at hw with that but you would get ktfo by many past champs from Wlad, vitali, Lennox, tyson, holyfield etc... Heck I don't even know if you could take Ray mercer's power. Too easy to hit
Let's say all of that is true.

He's still proven that out of 7 billion people, he's at worst the #2 fighter on the planet.

For a poor kid working as a truck driver delivering the mail, with no background in boxing, to not pick up the gloves until adulthood, and find a way to become one of the greatest fighters in the world, with all of those flaws, thanks to one of the most dangerous right hands in history, he deserves respect.

Even if Joshua knocks him out in the first round, he deserves respect.

Wilder better come in there at least 222lbs for AJ, because the lethargic tired droop style used tonight leaves just as many opportunities for opponents catching him as it does for counters and offence..... the pampered AJ is tough & quicker....and btw will NOW request a fight against Ortiz......

GRIT, FORTITUDE & CHARACTER saved the day to give a DRAMATIC & ENTERTAINING ending against the crafty boogyman southpaw that was blessed with a GREAT amateur background!!!

I think the 214 weight drain lent itself to the Drunken Master (old Karate flick) depleted tired movement. Nevertheless, that NEVER QUIT attitude AMAZINGLY trumped anything that King Kong could've brought and DID bring!!

Parker will bring the fireworks too, and can win it if he plays the role of "boxer" utilizing the entire ring, especially if he does the high altitude training against an AJ choosing to do the 255lb hulk bulk!

KING Wilder did his thing tonight in SLOPPY but intentional fashion, yet he STILL "right now" wants to MIX IT UP with the VERY BEST of em'!!!.... Awww man! What a CHAMP!! The SKINNY light guy can get FLOORED in the HEAVYWEIGHT ranks, but gets right back up.....completely FORGETTING the past last 2 minutes - then put in the demolition WORK!! "Champion" characteristics indeed!!

Both Wilder & AJ have gotten up from the floor to win their toughest fights to date.
If AJ wins against Parker, a showdown with Wilder in the future will be brutal.

Sorry but that 10 seconds extra time brought is absolute bull****..

That was disgraceful cheating.. and could have given him enough time to recover

No. 5 or 10 seconds more and the ref would have stopped it. Showing you can take a punch is NOT getting hurt.

There is no such thing. Either you get knocked out or you don't.

Just like aj spitting out his mouth gaurd ands getting a 30 second rest cause he was getting pummeled by old man klitchko.

I give Wilder a credit for that win, but also I think his career will not be very long. He just gets hurt too much in this division and he is only...215???
What a ****** comment. Is that you Eddie Hearn? No sane person would rate whyte to last longer than a round with wilder.

Wilder just beat the bogey man of the division. The same guy Joshua is **** scared of.
