You don’t determine how things work. 10-10 rounds are certainly not unheard of, but four in a row? Scoring just doesn’t work that way.Comment

The fight was close. I never care about judges scorecards. I had Ortiz up by 2 points and can see why they might have Wilder up 1. That’s how you know that the sound of punches landing has an affect on scoring. And Ortiz wasn’t landing a lot of shots to say that he was clearly winning.Comment

We also know that a short left hook dropped Ortiz in round 2 I believe. Flash knockdown but a knockdown.Comment

That extra 30 seconds or so at the start of round 8 was highly su****ious and detracts from a great fight IMO. Ortiz was up but I never felt he'd win. He proved me wrong though I predicted 12-0 or KO within 4 but he was fairly dominant.Comment

This is the problem with boxing nobody will say anything because it was a definitive outcome and will be ignored or swept under the rug.
Anybody who watched that fight knows the fix was in to keep the big money fight with AJ alive.
Judges like this should be fired immediately as they are obviously corrupt and will strike again.
In no other sport do officials get away with **** like that we should start piecing together petitions or something.Comment

Ok...this falls in line with what I’m talking about. You and nearly everyone here, including myself, had Ortiz up, regardless of how much. Yet all three judges had Deontay ever so slightly up at the end? All the same score? When you’ve seen robbery after robbery in over forty years as a boxing fan, that tends to raise an eyebrow. The fight was close. I never care about judges scorecards.
