Ive got to be honest wilder looked awful.

All the jokes about ortiz being old, im not joking any more cause how the hell did he gas that much? and how slow did he look? seriously..... almost no snap in his punches and his legs were gone. Awful lazy jab. Yet he still managed to win almost every round.

the fact wilder had to pull himself out of the big hole that he'd put himself in by being so sloppy for the rest of the fight, isnt a positive reflection of his fighting abilities.

ortiz was pretty much allowed to control the whole pace and he still gassed. Let wilder off the hook cause 30 seconds of throwing punches knackered him out for the rest of the fight.

Wilder showed great heart i will say and did well to recover.

On a side note, how the hell did the judges have wilder up. And the ref was buying him even more time at the start of the round when he was on unsteady legs. That was disgraceful, and people worry about wilder getting robbed in the UK, US is just as corrupt as anywhere these days.

to me there was a huge difference in quality between klitschko v joshua, and wilder v ortiz.

That was pure hometown cooking! Bad judges, and a biased ref who stalled for time and ignored rabbit punching and pushing to the ground.

No way Wilder should of been up.

But yes, I think this fight, even though Wilder keeps showing his size and power... keeps showing even lower stamina and skills.

A smaller heavyweight or someone with some stamina would own Wilder... like Povetkin, Pulev, Takam.

I know but Wilder got by him. Im as big a crtic of Wilder as anyone and he is still the same guy he was but we now know he can weather the storm against a top flight HW. That should concern every one from Joshua down. If he ever shores up his terrible technique its going to be scary.

Mate give it up. Ortiz was a live opponent up to that point when he was taken out. He gassed because of obvious reasons which I don’t want to go into. But yes I did notice that there wasn’t enough snap in his punches.

You had no break down of the fight......u picked wilder deeply rooting for ortiz to shut him up.u made excuses why wilder would even win (how pathatic is that) i told u already. In the words of naseem. All of wilders opponents are better then him. ( technically skill-wise) but the dude has a huge amount of power heart and determination which is almost scary how high it is. He is also a great finisher once he has you hurt there is no recovering unless the bell rings. This is a dangerous heavyweight. Complain about his skills balance everything u want but it doesn't matter for a fighter lile this he is fighting on grit alien one touch power and determination. I will be honest with you I have never seen a heavyweight like this which such freakish power and determination to where it easily could make him the number one heavyweight over all heavyweights. The Last one Standing. But know what he is. A skill boxer he is not......
