No, SHO has a much better talent roster than HBO. As far as I am concerned, HBO is garbage.

what you expect one is a HW champion facing what the #2 and the other is a meh fight.

Actually Im not so sure about that. Wilder vs. Stiverne got something like 800K.

His fight with Ortiz should get more.

#3 - cheapest wilder ticket on stubhub is $50. if the show was being papered, it would drive the stubhub prices way down.

kovalev tix on stubhub start at $9, which proves that is actually the show giving tickets away.
$50 - that's £36 in real money - to watch an American world HW champion defend his title in NYC, and they still have tickets unsold the day before the fight.

              Unbelievable.

                HBO has a card tomorrow??

EDIT: Wasn't joking. I heard Kovalev on Chris' podcast today but didn't realize that fight was this weekend. Zero buzz.

Surely Kovalev could make more money fighting in Russia than the US .. and not get robbed and cheated by corrupt refs and judges in the process.

there arent many US boxers from any class that are selling out arenas in the states....US fight fans are not as rabid as they are in the UK....we know this and acknowledge it fully.....i figured you didnt need to point out the obvious but you just couldnt resist taking a dig at wilder because you are a pathetic POS who hates people based on nationality and race

boxing is not wildly popular in the US....no US born fighter is selling out arenas
