It's interesting how we're constantly debating weight issues in fighters below the Cruiserweight division. How will they fare in a heavier class? their rehydration process, looking drained on the scales etc. Yet, we debate very little about weight differences on those over 190 lb.
It's deemed dangerous for welters to jump to 160 and particularly LHWs going to HW, yet we don't blink when Heavyweights are 30-40lb apart. I imagine most people will have David Haye (217lbs) vs Nikolay Valuev (316) in mind when talking of extreme differences in weight.
In this situation, I really do feel that the 27lb weight advantage can only be good news for Ortiz tomorrow evening.
