There HAS to be some kind of break soon in the promoter/network divisions. There is big money to be made in boxing- 2017's excellent year showed that. Throw in how much each network has invested in fighters and that most of these fighters want the challenge, the ****** hopeful little kid in me just thinks the dam breaks and we see more fights across promotions with compromises from networks (You get to broadcast this great fight, we get the next one type stuff).

Beterbiev is a decent fighter with some nice upside. But the Kovalev/Bivol/Barrera group at HBO is about to put a stranglehold on 2 belts at 175, and Showtime still has another strap and the lineal championship if you still care about that designation. There will be no huge money for Beterbiev without at least one of the matches, and Top Rank and Beterbiev has to know that.

He's still on the PBC website with Jacobs and Khan, Plus Arum seemed to be a lot open to working with Haymon recently and this is probably why.
