You may have noticed all the do gooders and brain charities in the UK media calling for a ban today? Telling us that fighters and fans want to see death and injury in the ring. This is their argument, that these are not normal in dangerous sports because the participants revel in injuries and killing each other. Then they quote people like this. When you get your licence, you are told it may be suspended if you bring the game into disrepute. He's free to say what he likes. They are free to not endorse him as part of the sport that they regulate and license.

C'mon, guys lighten up. This is a sport. The objective of the game is not to maim, kill or permanently disfigure or injure your opponent. It's called the sweet science for a reason. The objective of the sport is to hit and not be hit and not to prove how tough of a man you are by taking an unnecessary beating from your opponent; Which could lead to fatal injuries.

Don't get me wrong. At the same time I understand that there are risks stepping into that ring and the fighters are well aware of them; Which makes them all in my book, brave gladiators and soldiers. The only coward and quitter I know are the ones who refuse to step into that squared circle.

These men put their lives and livelihoods on the line each and every time they step into that ring and chances are they may not leave the ring the same way they entered it.

It's part of the sport. They can come in there alive and leave out dead. However, that is why is there are rules in place in order to help minimize such tragedies as this one.

The board have always fined people, always taken away licences when they deemed, rightly or wrongly that someone has broken the rules. He's talking bull**** is up to him, the consequences that follow he'll have to deal with. Or he can go unlicensed. I've boxed both amatuer and pro and still train at a pro gym. I've been in the ring and mixed with good fighters. This guy is a disrespectful waste of space so I'm not too invested in what happens to him. You sound like your a fan of he's, more power to you. Nobody is sitting around hoping the guy dies, he ain't so significant. The only wanker is him.
