If Canelo beats GGG and retires. How would you sum up his career? A lock for the Hall of fame? Is he an all time great??

The way he beats him would be more determining... If he beats GGG in very close decision with help of judges it would be 'MEH'...

I think both Canelo and GGG are great fighters who will eventually be in the Hall Of Fame if they both retired right now. Their worth should be determined by all their fights which took place in their prime and not just one big fight. Canelo is just in his early prime and will continue to improve. It's highly unlikely he would retire right after the biggest win of his career at age 27. It's much more likely he would fight for another 5 years and make many more millions.

#1 P4P but he does not have enough to be an ATG. But he can get there with a few notable wins

He wouldn't get the same credit for beating a 36 yo Golovkin as he would have got if the fight had happened 2 years ago, like it should have done.
