From the top 10 Joshua has fought and beaten boxers ranked in 6th,7th and Ninth positions. He had a bout lined up with the fourth ranked fighter until his opponent pulled out. His next opponent is a fellow champion ranked 3 and following that fight he's likely to be facing either Povetkin at 5 or Miller at 8.

If I were looking for a top ranked heavyweight that's been carefully cherry picking opponents and avoiding any risk at every turn then AJ wouldn't be the strongest candidate. Indeed, I can think of someone who would fit that description far more accurately. Someone with 39 professional fights over a nine year career. Someone who has yet to face anyone else on that very same list.

You are spot on here. Everyone with a brain knows Wilder is the great urban hope. Guy was created to fill the void of the old school american Heavyweight which doesnt exist anymore now that the ex soviet union fighters are professional. Superior culture of fighting over there as their men aren't Cowards afraid to fight and aren't divas . The entitlement nature of USA fighters has defeated them.

Definitely agree Wilder made a bad money decision cuz he was likely getting more money for a lesser opponent. Although admittedly I don't get the alignment with no promoter & no network, but still being loyal to DiBella & Showtime as often as Wilder does (& Stevenson + others who I'm probably not thinking of right now) so maybe there is some weird math or unusual agreement keeping him where he is idfk.

In direct violation of the ali act but he owns DiBella who is a sniveling weasel who acts like the promotion when really all he is is just a prob Haymon uses to call the shots. Plus there is the fighter angle. If fighters were getting f#cked over Haymon wouldn't have one of the highest approval ratings of business guys in boxing.

But for sure there is some other sh^t going on here cuz too many decisions don't make sense to me (like this Wilder decision to not fight Whyte for more money and less of a challenge which is the strategy too many guys use these days).

I agree totally. Hearn is trying to pull a Bob Arum move and keep mentioning he wants the Wilder fight while fighting cherry pickers. The people will have to pressure Joshua. When it happens Joshua will get knocked out by 7. He's way too big and he gets tired. Hearn knows what time it is...that's why he is trying to milk the cow until he is forced to make the fight.

No doubt Hearn is milking Joshua for all he can.Joshua makes enough and is a big enough star to do what he wants.If he is a REAL fighter then he will fight Wilder next IF he wins.And I don't care which one wins just hope its a great fight and that's whats BEST FOR BOXING.

Well I can't believe Wilder is getting $4M for Ortiz, but sh^t if he is respect on getting all that paper vs fighting a guy deemed more legit.

But yep your overall point might show how badly boxing fans think of boxing/boxers these days. And you can bet your life savings & your next paycheck that if Wilder beats Ortiz (a guy who I see most people hyping as the best non-title holder out there & some people even rank higher than Wilder today), Ortiz will be a bum, overrated (for full disclosure I'm claiming this TODAY, but you can't argue with the consensus opinion which I already brought up & makes Ortiz the best guy Wilder can fight today), too old or something on Sunday to diminish that W for Wilder for a nice segment of fans.

Although sometimes idk if thats just fans hating or fans being too passionate like other sports fans are & its to be expected like when some guy just hates the Patriots or Yankees to the point of 50%+ of their sports fanness is about hating on those teams.

Oh & randomly I've even seen some cats hedging their bets already by saying 2015 Ortiz was a bada$$ (for beating patty cake punching Jennings) & 2018 Ortiz is a shadow of that guy lmfao. So its coming for sure if Wilder wins.
