Final without Groves ain't legit

Semifinals without Braehmer wasn't legit too.

That sh^t happens in tournaments.

Worse case if they go with someone else I bet Groves fights the winner later in 2018 or early 2019. Or maybe just Smith in general. Cuz idk if Smith beats Benavidez or Ramirez & I kinda would still favor Eubank Jr over Smith although thats a more competitive fight if Smith took notes from what Groves did.

Also just realised this is odd - at Smith/Holtzen Groves when he was in his seat he had a sling on but when he was being interviewed ringside had it off and said his shoulder seemed fine and he was pretty certain he would make the final. Now it's surgery yet they had supposedly found out on Tuesday 4 days before the 2nd semifinal what would need to be done and he has confirmed multiple times in interviews it was just popped back in and didn't hurt.

Sod's law that his shoulder goes in the very last round of the semi.

It would be a dampner on the tournament for sure if Groves can't take his place in the final.

With them talking about a deadline, and Groves asking for a date that's not a million miles away from that deadline..it's possible we get that date but maybe nothing later.

Could be a case of Groves rushing back too soon. Smith would maybe be wise to try do some work/pulling on that shoulder in any kind of clinch or break.

That's why I laugh.

Imagining all of the people screaming conspiracy to put Eubank over despite not really deserving it: a mysterious yet rather conveniently timed shoulder injury; a forfeit that basically nullifies the loss; staged videos of Senior being disappointed in his son; scorecards that are laughably close.

The man would forever go down in history as a pariah along with his dad and everyone behind the Series.
