spence has a mandatory due. with spence likely fighting the mandatory in june and thurman fighting a tune up in may, thurman would be available sooner.

porter is mandatory to thurman's belt. porter isn't ranked for spence's belt and therefore ineligible to fight for it.

fighting thurman will pay more than fighting spence.

thurman has two belts. spence only has one.

porter has a personal issue with spence and wants revenge. porter has no personal issue with spence.

there's no reason to give up a guaranteed fight with thurman for more money to go chase an unavailable fight with spence for less money.

Because he isn't a champ and his focus shouldn't be focused on one route. At this stage, he should be willing to fight all the top guys.

Spence giving everybody free shots at the title.. but nobody wants a belt anymore. Thurman already said 2018 is his get-back year. that means a bum marathon. Porter is willing to sit on his ass waitin for Keith to feel better. the WBC should mandate Porter/Garcia and winner gets Keith. ordering two mandatories is bull****. Garcia shouldn't get a shot at no title for beating Rios.
