WBSS should do for all weight classes like they are doing for Cruiser weights. It would be awesome to have 1 unified champion in each weight class

Seriously dude, Pacquiao should just retire and allow the younger generation to compete in this tournament. Pac has nothing to prove at this point. He's been there and done that.

Moreover, it's going to be tough to put on such a tournament like this when you have so many different promoters and sanctioning bodies all vying and competing for the same spot.

It sounds like a good idea though. However, it is just not feasible.

Meh, let him face Broner, I'd be okay with that.

Because seriously, if Broner beats Manny, THEN he should definitely retire.

They wont, because Arum owns the WBO belt and he cant take the chance of Haymon owning all the belts. i.e. if crawford loses his belt to one of Haymons fighters. And DONT FORGET THIS IS PRIZE FIGHTING, emphasis on PRIZE. So this isnt possible. Broner vs Pac would make money, with no belt on the line, and would be a WIN/WIN both fighters would benefit from a win in that match, that would propel the winner into a big PPV Title fight, OR a fight vs Khan (which would propel that WINNER to the slaughter, oops, i meant world title fight (SPENCE OR THURMAN). MO MONEY, MO MONEY
            BUT TOURNAMENT NO

Haymon doesn't even let his own fighters compete, why would he allow anyone else?

The reason is because not all WWs are on the same level in terms of popularity.

Tournaments like this work when you have a bunch of fighters that are equal and which the tournament was able to provide them with more exposure than they otherwise would've received. Which is why the WBSS worked so well.
The biggest fight would be over who gets to be A side.

Agree. Close fight. I hope they will face each other and we will see who is better.

Unfortunately it's not so easy, because every champ can refuse a participation in the tournament. Like that did champs from super middleweight.

Yes, a ridiculous "article" wasn't it.

Let's pretend the April fights arent happening; then pretend Garcia is at 147; then . . . .

Bigger fool me for reading it actually!
