He beat prime fighters.
Roy was shot.
You logic sucks.
Roy
Hopkins
Toney
Toney was in his prime, but he was in BAD condition for that fight. It's not Roy's fault, and Roy did what he was supposed to do by dominating Toney, who was just not there. I've heard a lot of medical reports on Toney, but it's no excuse for the loss. the point is, Roy never beat Toney at his best. Not saying he could or couldn't, just saying he didn't. If it's any consolation to you, I'll have Jones above Toney until Toney wins a heavyweight title. Cool?
Don't even tell me Hopkins was prime when he fought Jones. All you and Bozo do is say who was in their prime and who wasn't when it comes to making excuses. Hopkins was NOT in his prime.
i don't think the ali comparison is just....yes ali lost 3 of his last 4, but the fighters he was fighting were younger ,stronger and faster and ali stood and fought.one of the 3 losses(spinks) was a split decision that was later avenged with ali beating spinks to regain the title...jones was fighting fighters of the same age(johnson) and older(tarver). in the 3rd tarver fight he ran all night long. the losses may not tarnish his "legacy", but his track meet with tarver should. that fight showed what kind of heart jones really had(or didn't have). i actually think jones was exposed in a much earlier fight with a much older fighter in mike mccallum.
He dominated Mike, a fighter who ages very well, kind of like Hopkins.
Roy is the best out of these three, its not difficult at all.
Hes beaten better opposition then both of them combined.
Yo, I feel you. I left to take a shower, come back, and he's STILL going. Like the Energizer Bunny wearing a big RJ on his sweater and shaking his pom poms.
how about everyone stop posting and I bet the farm the kid will fall asleep..silence kills them everytime...
Does any of what you've just tried to hiss at me here change the fact you're a bitter little college kid who started watching boxing a year ago who gets off on spending 90% of his time on this forum spouting negative hate about fighters you dislike?
You don't fool anyone, all you do is come here to spout negativity and complain, and there are many people who've blocked you because you don't contribute anything but bitching.
And once again, you've NEVER given me something to think about in a debate. You illustrate how your bias is the only thing motivating you, and then run off with your tail between your legs.
You're a waste.
attacking my personality again rather than arguing. same old stuff.

James Toney didnt make excuses, neither should you.
Your getting that weight information from JUYJUY, while the Toney camp denied such allegations.
HAHAHAHAHA
Hopkins may not have exactly been in his prime, but neither way roy.
An out of shape, relativily green Roy Jones Jr clearly beat an in shape relativly green Bernard Hopkins.
Then Bernard turned down the biggest payday of his life to fight him again later on in his career.
Roy was just untouchable in his prime.

Diego Corrales would have beat Floyd Mayweather if Corrales was in his prime. See, I can make ridiculous statements too. If you and Bozo No No can decide who was in their prime and who wasn't, so can I.
