Tyson didn't like guys who knew how to use their height and reach.
Wilder has more heart.
Once Tyson felt he couldn't win, It was game over
There is no blueprint to beat Wilder. We know how Tyson can be beaten.
Wilder seems the bigger puncher of the two...

Wilder better make light work of Ortiz or else his comments will backfire and make him look like an even bigger mug.

I was a huge Tyson fan growing up and till this day I won't watch that Buster Douglas fight.... Well that Holyfield fight either (mister head butt you into submission, aka one ear and a half aka the heavyweight Shawn Porter lol), or the Lennox Lewis fight. Anyway Deontay Wilder defense is suspect and I don't know if he could keep Tyson from fighting inside. But if Deontay landed one of his famous windmill punches it could be night night for Tyson. With that said the fight will never happen and if they were to fight today Wilder wins and if they fought in a made up fantasy land where '86 Tyson could fight 2018 Wilder then Tyson wins the made up fantasy land fight lol the debate is ridiculous because it will never happen EVER!!!

Tyson outweighed his 1st 2 opponents by about 15 pounds, FYI...
3. Don Halpin 10 - 23 final record (10 - 18 record before Tyson)
4. Ricardo Spain 2 - 23 final record (1 - 0 record before Tyson); outweighed by 30+ pounds by Tyson.
5. John Alderson 6 -1 final record (3 - 0 before Tyson); he outweighed Tyson.
6. Larry Sims 3 - 19 final record (3 - 16 before Tyson)..
I could go on but it is not necessary. Check out boxrec and see the details yourself.
Ultimately, these are the people he fought. If Wilder fights these same guys - you call him a bum beater. But Tyson's opponents were worse. He outweighed over half of them too (I counted 20 or so out of his 1st 32 opponents) and their combined records until about mid 1985 or so.
Now, no one on Tyson's record has the height and reach of Wilder; neither the foot speed and agility. Don't write back ****** stuff before performing your analysis. The closest to Wilder's physical dimensions were:
Tony Tucker (6'5" and 82 inches) - went to UD;
Mitch Green (6'5" and 82 inches) - also went to UD;
These are the facts. They are not made up or opinions. Numbers don't lie. Based on these facts, my inference is that he will struggle with taller, rangier fighters.
Also, for this world beater 'Tyson' compare his records and the people he fought too against those that Wilder fought. Was Tyson also a bum-beater?
Most heavyweights of those days will be cruiserweights at best in this era. So, enough with the crap talk about Tyson demolishing Wilder. I expect some ****** responses as well from non-objective folks. Provide data to back up your assertion - not BS.
Tyson went on the unify the division by age 22, at about the same age that Wilder had his first fight (fact).
So comparing the two early records doesn't quite work - Tyson was fighting best-in-division at the same age Wilder started fighting (fact)
Wilder is now 32, and by that age Tyson was hugely diminished and biting ears off (fact). In fact, by age 24 Tyson was already greatly diminished - just look at the state he was in when he arrived in Tokyo for Douglas.
So which Tyson do you want in the mythical match-up ? Peak Tyson (probably the 22 year-old one) vs Peak Wilder (presumably now) ?
Peak Tyson features in mythical match-ups with the likes of peak Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Norton. Now we're adding Peak Wilder ?
