You can't accuse Cleverly of being chinny, regardless of how good you think he was.
Only Kovalev has ever hurt him, and he did that with almost everyone.
Fonfara and Jack beat him, but neither had him badly hurt. He was just overpowered by the better fighter in Jack, and his nose went again badly. He actually had a good chin.

PLEASE Badou Jack beat this guy and end his lame title reign. It's a shame because he had a quality 2013 being active and it was his breakout year but since then it's been a joke really.

It's a 50/50 fight though because we'll have to see how Badou responds when he's cracked with that titanic left hand, maybe he will be more sturdy at 175?

Same, I'm really looking forward to it, I think it would be Stevenson's hardest fight since he won the title, I think Jacks better than Fonfara and Karpency. People forget Cleverly beat Karpency when he was WBO champion.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone pulls out though. Hopefully not. I want to see Stevenson tested by a top fighter, imo we haven't in his title reign, although he has made decent defences against the like of Fonfara and Bellew.

Fonfara recently suffered a brutal 1st round KO to Smith while Karpency lost a wide UD to Smith.
Williams is another opponent fresh off a KO loss.

Jack on the other hand is budding at 175, hasn't been KO'd in years and has proven his quality vs Degale and Cleverly. He's 6'1, he drained himself badly to make SMW.

You really going to point out their losses then talk up Cleverly as if that is some great win, you realise that Fonfara battered Cleverly from pillar to post right?
As for DeGale, that guy who was coming off a loss to a journeyman in Medina (terrible decision) and just lost to another in Truax.

Fonfara-Cleverly was a competitive and close UD, that fight happened 3 years ago. Jack annihilated Cleverly, only Kovalev has done the same.

Stevenson-Fonfara 1 was 4 years ago, Fonfara became a shot fighter after that vicious 1st round KO loss to Smith which happened before the rematch.

The biggest thing going for Jack is the fact that he drained himself to make 168, he couldn't make it anymore. At 175 he looked the best I've ever seen him, completely rejuvenated.

beterbiev should be next for adonis is he stops beefing with yvon michel

Don't fault Ward. Kovelelv was considered to be THE best at LHW, and Ward went after the best, and made him quit!

Stevenson was #2, so why would Ward go backwards??

The lineal title don't mean shyt in this case.

Him beating Dawson FIVE years ago, and then feasting on B to B+ rated fighters since, has made him inconsequential.

This clown and fighters like him, are what's wrong with boxing.

Stevenson and Danny Garcia, has shown that Haymons method of running his stable is shyt for this sport! He seem to be just another fking boxing parasite!

lineage is never number 2...ward was lineal at 168 and it was respected..he will not be able to overlook someone else's...kovalev ducked adonis's lineage 3 different times and each time was his highest payday....HE WILL NOT GET A MAJORITY PASS FROM ME..and ward wont either bc he ducked adonis's lineage even when he fought edwin rodriguez instead..adonis wanted to meet him at 168 then 175

Still leaning Stevenson. But I would like to see how each looks as we get closer to the fight. How Jack looks at peak 175 may have some bearing on how this fight goes. Stevenson will be fresh, he is a natural at the division, and he should be motivated to shut up doubters. But no way around age, and Jack is younger and freaking talented.

I am really pumped for this fight. Stevenson still has a chance to do real impressive things at 175 and cement a good legacy. Jack is talented enough to really stir up the mix if he wins. This is a fantastic match.
