Hagler wasn't Leonard, he never would be. He wasn't smiley and charming and charasmatic, he was a gritty fighter who got the job done. There's no way they would give Hagler the victory over Leonard, who was thought of as "the new Ali". Leonard's reputation won that fight for him.
Leanard did'nt give Hagler problems? Thats bull****! This will always be subjective cos of what people like. Theirs Counter punchers, come forward fighters.

I dont like the way sooo many judges score for coming forward and not landing AS many effective shots. But the judge is considering the few shots that the fighter coming forward as far more effective. Its not ALL about being the stronger fighter, the agressor and coming forward! this is boxing its a skill and an art! Being "mus Macho" is only part of it The sooner certain judges realize this the better!

As far as Im concerned Leanard won that fight in style. Even though I think it was close, he was a miracle man for imposing his style like he did!

roy ud no knockdowns but a clear win
Yes I agree Roy would win if they were both in their prime! he would by no means have it easy. I think it would be closer! SD for Roy

We know he can KO'd by one shot by a powerful lightheavy after losing pounds of muscle and at age 36.

We don't know Hagler can KO Roy at all. Roy would be in his prime, not only physically but mentally as well.

Are you going by Jones's last couple of years (when he was shot. EG after the Ruiz fight) or Jones in his prime?

LOL at those who think the best version of Hagler is the pressure fighter of the 80s

Close decision, probably in favor of Marvin, but it would be close.
For all the morons who say Hagler wins by KO, watch some of Roys fights at 160.
And that wasnt even his best weight!

Fact is Leonard was a much better boxer then Jones, fact is Leonard had a way better chin then Jones, fact is that was Haglers last fight & still many people though he won.

Jones would've never survived with Hagler, he would've been knocked out sooner or late.
Jones style was unique, he was too fast and his reflexes were too quick for Hagler to tee of on him.
This is a younger Roy with a better chin who wouldnt get KO'd in 1 shot.
This fight would have gone the distance, and it would have been close.
                    Clean punching vs Agression.
I actully see it going kind of like Hatton Collazo went.
Altough Roy and Hagler are clearly on another level as far as boxing ability is concerned.
