There was one round where Vargas had some great combos to the body but that was it. Vargas was beat.

Listen bud. I suggest you hit the 100 point mark before calling anyone a moron. I have this fight myself and have watched it probably more times than you and to say that wright got robbed is a joke. The fight was closer than that. Watch the last frikin 3 rounds again and you will see Vargas backing Wright back and pressing the fight. There were some middle rounds too where Vargas clearly won. You have your volume up too high listening to Winky go "WHOOOO" every time he hit Vargas...and dont forget Fernando was the champion,You have to do more than that to take his belt.

You are discrediting him for not dominating Soliman.

Soliman is a very good fighter. Everyone is fooled by the losses that he had earlier in his career. At the time Soliman fought Winky he was on a 19 fight winning streak. He had the seven losses early in his career, but who he was before and who is now is like night and day, he has improved a lot.

        Allow me to illustrate...

Soliman's second to last loss before the winning streak was to Raymond Joval, by majority decision in 2001. In 2004 he rematched him, and beat him by scores of 120-107 twice, and 119-108, in other words, a complete shutout, and may I add that Vargas lost at least three or four rounds against Joval.

You will see once Soliman gets another chance against a top opponent, he will prove himself to be a good fighter, and there will be no shame on Winky for not dominating him.

It took tarver to show how much of a joke he was, he should of technacly lost all 3 fights. how many greats get KO in the second round. then the third fight he looked like such a ***** he looked scared of tarver. Glen johnson knocked his ass out. yeah a real great, why didnt he ever fight hopkins after there first fight, because he beat him the first time and b-hop was not at his best level. who is roy fighting now?? (see you can do it with any fighter)

Roy also beat toney, PAZ, TATE, Hill and some others... Roy is known as a great not mainly becuz of who he beat but how he beat them, the guy created a style that no one sense has imulated and if you wanna get technical yes Jones was beat by Tarver and Johnson but be serious had they caught ROY in his prime they wouldnt have stood a chance, and why didnt roy fight Hopkins again becuz Hopkins (my *****) wouldnt take 60/40 come on 60/40 against roy is nice, and yeah Hopkins woulda finished with 5 losses not 4 good for him! And yeah Roy did look scared in Tarver 3 but who wouldnt if you suffered your 1st true loss to the guy by vicious but lucky 2nd rd KO?

If you look at his resume despite his 50 wins the guys he has faced are basically namless nobodies, this includes his 3 losses (Vargas is, was and will always be overrated,JCV was good for like a second and well Simon could have been a major force but ....)! It seems to me that the TRINIDAD fight left this impression that he was a GREAT FIGHTER, and even with that TRINIDAD had already gotten his block knocked-off and came back to fight Wright after fighting two defensivless BUMS!

I mean Wright has a great defense, YES and can beat up on guys smaller then him YES, but what has he really done other then beating GUYS naturally smaller then him to be #3 or higher on P4P list?

The fact is this SAT he will be exposed for the SUB_PAR fighter he is and i wouldnt be surprised if after the fight, he drains himself and goes back to the roll of bullying little people!

I mean it was evident in the Soliman fight that he will have major trouble fighting at MW with guys his size and his strength, and even in that fight he was the bigger man(he was 171 Sam was 158), what do you think his gonna do when he comes in at say 170-174 and Taylor comes in a little bigger then that?

I just cant wait to see him exposed and played_out as a guy who can only beat little people, and after SAT he should be earased from any top 10 rankings, unless he does convert down to a lower weight and back to beating little people up, then and only then could he be put back on a P4P list! (I mean you dont hear JT's name being mentioned as fighting say a PBF haha well Wrights naturally 170+ ass is being mentioned as fighting him and that doesn make any ****ing sense, HIS A LITTLE PEOPLE BEATER, PEOPLE, NOTHING ELSE) HE GETS HIS ASS KOed ON SAT
I agree he is overated . good, but overated.3 8 on p4p at best.

On no i wouldnt discredit my boy soliman im actually a fan of his an have followed him since the Joval fight on FSN, the guy is a worker and would be a froce had he or if he chosses to fight at a more suitable weight for a guy his size, like 140-147... i hope to see him in the future and think he can beat the like of say a strum, abraham etc...

I think Wright is slightly over-rated yes but I think the same exact thing of Taylor. How anybody can think Taylor is a better fighter than Wright or place him above Wright is ludacris. Wright humuiliated Fernando Vargas in what should've been his first real big win(anybody who says otherwise is bias, as in having Vargas for an avatar), went on to humuiliate Shane Mosley twice and then humuiliated Felix Trinidad.

What has Taylor done aside from put on 2 lackluster performances against Hopkins? I won't get into the fight outcome debate, what's done is done. However it doesn't do a fighter's reputation any good when you miss more than half of your punches in a fight against a 41 year old man and many national reporters claim the other guy won.

That said I'm not a real big fan of either Winky or Taylor.

(dont think i was trying to disrespect roy, i have respect for what he did. just trying to show how it can be turned on anybody)

winky created a style that he doesnt get hurt and wins his fights. not the most exciteing but it gets him his wins. he took 3 big fights back to back mosely, mosely, and tito. he hasnt lose in almost 10 years. He beat sam while he was supposably sick. Sure he doesnt have that many big names but thats because so many people avoided him, as soon as he got his chacne he showed that he had skill. he is what you can call a master boxer.

                    Taylor's achievements:

2 suspect "victories" over a long time champ.

1 victory over a 90 year old Raul Marquez.

                    1 victory over William Joppy.
