Great point better example then I used.Really that's I perfect one. What a waste of breath and likely to get your fighter KOed trying to think about it.Comment

Nice insight.Trust me a good corner man can give you a leg up.It helps if he knows you and he has YOUR respect. My 1st few Am fights I had the trainer of the gym I used the most do my corner. He really was not a great trainer and prob worse corner man but then I had my brother for the rest(couple dozen or so)and it was BIG difference he knew what to say to either push me or settle me down whatever was needed and because I respected him I listened more.A corner man is not gonna help you beat a clearly better fighter but can be the diff in a well matched fight.I would rather have a guy I know(and respect) and knows me then E Steward. The best ones say very little and repeat it.When you hear guys start talking about 2-3 different things you start thinking "where do I start" and before you know the bell rings and you just go back to what you were doing.Esp in Ams where you only have 3 rounds.
Corner work wise I like Adam Booth just because it is very methodical.

How do you feel?
A sentence of advice.
Makes sense regarding the relationship thing. Probably why we get a lot of Dads in corners.
Your Virgil Hunters and Atlas's I can't really fathom how they can be that helpful. Other than Virgil to Ward for the reasons you explained. In that they have shared experiences and Virgil Hunter is a father figure.Comment

Having no real coach could be the final nail in Eubank's coffin.
It's easy to strut around the ring and jut your chin out against bum opposition but when you are losing rounds with no strategy to fall back on...you just compound the mistakes you have already made.
I feel sorry for that Ronnie Davies guy, the Eubank's treat him like a family dog. At his age he deserves better, especially after he took Eubank Snr under his wing when nobody else would back in the 1980's.Comment
