HBO has been doing PPV Replays the following Saturdays for as far back as Ive been watching. The first replay peaked at 850K. If the 2nd fight is really good you know it will come close to 1 million.

This is just Bob Arum trying to *** with HBO. GB is NOT going to screw themselves to please Bob.

This is a NO BRAINER!!! Date has to be before May 5th or after May 12th. Its that simple....So expect Rat Fink to *** up a good fight and give us junk.

Big Bob knows the boxing business like the back of his hand. He knows damn well the only reason he picked May 12th is because the Ca$hnelo PPV replay would be on that day and he knew GBP wouldn't agree to it.

Plus you can find a ton of articles on this site about Bob not wanting fights on certain dates due to NBA playoffs, NFL playoffs, etc., but all of a sudden he wants to compete with them.

Big Bob is just ducking Linares for Lomaputa. Lomaputa might want the fight but if Big Bob the pimp ain't with it then it ain't happening.

Because the 1st replay peaked at 850k viewers. And if the rematch it crazy good and has some KD's or TKO???? Expect the numbers to be over 1 million

I like have the replay 1st and Linares/Loma afterwords on HBO like normal. That would really push the numbers.

But I also suspect we're going to get Loma Vs Beltran instead.
IDK why they can't fight the Saturday before the Canelo fight??
How do we know May 12th is even going to be available for ESPN?? The NBA playoffs will/could be on that day also. I dont know where rayzzz says/gets only May 12 is available but no other Saturday is because of the NBA?? All they need is a couple of game 7's and it could EASILY be on the 12th. Hes just hating on Canelo like always.

So Bob Arum proposes a date he knows will be unworkable, simply so when and if, it comes down to the 147 characters/twitter blame game, Top Rank can say: 'We offered them a deal, they refused.'

Arum is, along with Haymon and Gomez the top three promotional snakes and charlatans at the moment. Looking to drag out negotiations, short fuse negotiations, all so they can protect their cash cow from losing and finally putting them on a banal mediocre PPV card simply for their fighter to demolish another garbage collector and keep calling out other champs, repeating the tired rhetoric of 'wanting to fight the best', wanting to clean out the division, etc etc...yawn.

The few boxers/fighters who are truly invested in what they say are GGG, AJ, Parker, Kovalev, Bivol, Barerra, Spence Jr, Thurman, Mikey Garcia, Berchelt, Rungvisai and Inoue. PS: I could be wrong about these fighters, and of course they are influenced by many things outside their sphere of influence or control.
There are grey areas of course and some fighters, probably most have at least one or two boogeymen on their list.
We need some new headlines, new stories and new narratives to follow, because if I swear I hear one more paper champion announce he's here to clean out the division I will have a brain fart.

HBO is third banana now in US boxing. ESPN couldn't care less about HBO's replay. They want boxing that night.

Then Linares is off the table. And I dont waste my time on mismatches. I watch a lot of fights but when its a true mismatch i dont watch. I wont be watching Pac/Alavardo either. Just like ive still never seen the Canelo/Smith fight.

Not necessarily. If Mr. Honda wants the fight to happen, GB may have to do it whether they want to or not. We'll have to see. I don't know the particulars of the Teiken/GB arrangement.

Watch whatever you enjoy. Most people, if they're a fan of a fighter, enjoy watching that fighter dominate lesser opponents. That's what this sport was built on.
