I guess hindsight is 20/20 but how did Uncle Bob not see this coming? I mean HBO always televises their PPV fights the following Saturday. Uncle Bob better find another date and make the fight.

I don't see an issue with Golden Boy promotions not making the fight on that day! They can't compete against themselves. Fucc Bob Arum! If he wants the Linares fight then he'll pick another date. He's the one feeding us Pacquiao-Alvarado instead of Pacquiao-Matthysse so fucc him! He can't get everything his way! Wouldn't you agree?Comment

Here's a thought. How about Lomachenko (challenger) goes to HBO to fight LInares (Champion)?Comment

What they could do is have Lomachenko-Linares on ESPN at 9EST, and once it concludes, have the replay on HBO at 10 EST. Which is what Bob suggested. That way they would both benefit.
But obviously that's not what GBP wants because they want to use the replay to build up one of their other fights, probably one of their prospects like Ryan Garcia or Rey Vargas.Comment

First, people said Arum wouldn't try to do the fight and now the same people are saying Arum is full of **** for choosing that date. You so called boxing fans are just looking for reasons to blame Bob. If the roles was reversed, people would be saying Arum and Loma are ducking, making excuses, etc.Last edited by TreJac; 02-13-2018, 10:29 PM.Comment

Offer May19th and move on. No need to start crying for or against Arum. If Arum is serious, I'm pretty sure a week or two later is fine, no need to start *****ing. Move it a week back and neither side should have a problem. Any other response sounds like fangirl sh it!!
If no ESPN, HBO will do!Last edited by Sosay; 02-13-2018, 10:35 PM.Comment

i wouldn't care which channel it was on but if I'm not mistaken, I believe that top rank has an exclusive deal with ESPN now. Whereas with golden boy, out side of Canelo, I don't think any of their other fighters are contractually obligated to fight on hbo.Comment

Exactly. Let that be the be the live fight after the canelo vs ggg replay. Imagine if loma dominated Linares then went back to ESPN for a ppv with Pacquiao. Although I don't see him dominating Linares, but anything is possible. This is what should happen may 12th.Comment
