Speaking of nothing to something moves, Chris Algieri had a great come up. Fought Emmanuel Taylor for 15k on ESPN. Moved on to Provodnikov for 150,000 on HBO (or showtime, can’t remember) and capped it w 1.5 mil vs Pacquiaoon PPV. That was an amazing run career wise. Had he won vs PAC maybe he could have fought Mayweather for 15 million! I kid I kid.

If only they'd have let him out of the cage sooner.

But yea he had a nowhere rise to & probably made out better money-wise than Indongo did since he did get that sexy Manny fight money. Idr how much Indongo got for Bud, but I doubt it was close to 1.5M.

Respect to Algieri. Hopefully dude can run out his bs promoter contract soon & get back in the ring. Believe I heard him say it'll be up sometime this year so we should see him back in 2018.

Not only that; Indongo could outbox Prograis if in the right mood. This will be an interesting fight, the Namibian is less predictable than Postol.

I really like Regis, fun style and great personality, but I think he is severely limited. If he'd go up against somebody like Mikey for example, he'd get absolutely schooled. Exciting fighter but I really don't think he goes that far. think he beats Indongo though, who is nothing special.

Idk. I think Regis' power is a potential game changer & Mikey's not been hit like Regis hits I don't think. I hope we get to see that fight if both keep winning doe, but best case its probably 12-18mos away.

And Regis hasn't HAD to show all that much yet, I feel he's like Spence was a couple years back right now. He's merking most guys & still learning the game while barely losing a professional round.

Indongo is gonna be a nice jump up in class so this fight should say a lot about what he maybe capable of.

I would not have agreed to this if I was Prograis. That is a drastic style change for just a couple of weeks. I would have at least rescheduled the date, but the boy obviously believes in his skills. I still hope he takes it.

Its competitive & it'll be fun to figure out who's #1 over the next couple years & see what the big fights end up being with those standing near the end, but Garcia seems like a PTer to any division right now. I hate the "exposed" bs, but I think you could argue Imam legit got exposed in his L. Broner bout killed himself again last week so who knows how long he'll even be alive. Figueroa doesn't seem to take the game THAT seriously. And Loma ain't even got to 135 yet + I still don't buy & think its a bad idea for Manny to fight 140.

But I think there is a difference between a stacked division & one thats just competitive cuz the big name guy who was schooling the entire division left.
