By the way, that article you posted provides so much insight on how the "promotional game" works and how shady it can easily get.

Its competitive & it'll be fun to figure out who's #1 over the next couple years & see what the big fights end up being with those standing near the end, but Garcia seems like a PTer to any division right now. I hate the "exposed" bs, but I think you could argue Imam legit got exposed in his L. Broner bout killed himself again last week so who knows how long he'll even be alive. Figueroa doesn't seem to take the game THAT seriously. And Loma ain't even got to 135 yet + I still don't buy & think its a bad idea for Manny to fight 140.
My bad on crapping on your entire breakdown of the division lmfao. But I think there is a difference between a stacked division & one thats just competitive cuz the big name guy who was schooling the entire division left. If Bud came back tomorrow that division looks like a 8th grader beating up a bunch of 4th graders til someone finally knocked off Bud.

And Regis hasn't HAD to show all that much yet, I feel he's like Spence was a couple years back right now. He's merking most guys & still learning the game while barely losing a professional round.
Indongo is gonna be a nice jump up in class so this fight should say a lot about what he maybe capable of.
We'll see how the Indongo fight goes though, but the real test will be against Ramirez when he beats Imam and faces Regis. That's gonna be a hell of a fight.

I haven't seen much of Ramirez as of late that I can recall. I'm gonna need to go watch some of his recent fights. I think he handles Imam too, but curious how hard or easy that'll be for him.

Ramirez is very good, pretty underrated especially around here for a kid with that potential. Imam is a wild card though, kid has the skills but him getting stopped by Granados and not doing anything since hasn't shown us much promise.

154 seems stacked to me right now too. Sh^t 160 seems pretty stacked right now too with those 4 or 5 guys waiting on GGG & Canelo right now that all seem solid to really good.
I think I see 140 more competitive than stacked is cuz there are so many unproved guys since Bud ran the division for so long. Now its more up for grabs with new guys on the world class scene. Plus you got a guy like Mikey who could make a division look ***ier that seems like a weight division mercenary who may not be there after Lipinets. Ramirez is unproven. Lipinets is largely unproven still. Indongo is more proven, but that KO L to Bud is a bad look. Imam got blasted by a journeyman/fringe condenter-ish type guy. I guess the polish just isn't on enough guys yet or the polish has been smeared on the guys with the better resumes/more proven records is a big part of it when I think about it.

Looking at Imam's fights since that KO loss it looks like King has just been protecting him to get him into the title position.
Fought a guy who was 16-19 who lost 5 of his last 6
Fought a guy who was 26-23-2 who lost 5 of his last 6
Fought a guy who was 19-5-1 who was 1-4-1 in his last 6
Thats King's specialty these days. Stunted Imam's pro progress with 2.5yrs of bs fights.
