I think Pavlik was good but not quite as good as GGG and Canelo are now. He lost to Martinez and he lost every single round to Hopkins. Taylor had him down and badly hurt and close to a KO loss. Canelo is now a skilled boxer with fast accurate powerful combinations an iron jaw and one of boxing's best body punchers. Canelo has never been down and only hurt once as a teenage welterweight. In a battle of heavy hitters having a great chin is a big asset. Canelo has improved tremendously in the 4 years since he lost to Mayweather. I would pick Canelo to beat Pavlik. Pavlik would also have a good chance to win with his long powerful jab and straight right. I see it as a close fight but I favor Canelo.

Long reach, height advantage, thudding power shots, has an excellent 1-2 combo. Pavlik would snipe the diva off at long range, breaking her down until the mid-rds stoppage...6-8.
