Hala Nysa, ul. Sudecka 23, Nysa, Poland - It was a night where former cruiserweight world champion returned to the ring for their first bouts of the new year. In the main event of the evening, Krzysztof Glowacki (29-1, 18 KO) made a much tougher time than anyone could have expected when he traded punches with previously undefeated Sergei Radchenko (6-1, 1 KO).

Crazy that he got dropped by a 6-0 guy with only 1 KO, but in boxing you never know what goes on. Some guys develop power overnight with a little outside help. You just never know. Or, sometimes you just caught. Especially at cruiserweight and heavyweight, even a low KO guy can drop you if they hit you clean. Heck, Sergio Mora knocked down Jacobs, who has actually proven pretty durable since he started fighting close to 180 in the ring instead of 170 like he did vs Pirog where he got stopped.

So you just never know. Some guys lose focus as well. Especially some of these bigger guys have trouble staying on weight, so they end up having bad weight cuts and no longer fighting at their best. It may be one of the things that happened to Kovalev and resulted in him only outclassing Ward in competitive fashion rather than dominating him, and obviously we've seen it happen to the likes of Chris Arreola, Tyson Fury, and many other big guys. But who knows what the situation was here.

Holy ****!! Really?? I'm shocked, tried to watch these fights but couldn't find any streams. He better re-think taking on Vlasov right now if he's getting dropped by nobodies, especially after Vlasov just dominated God's Power. Probably better to take a fight against a fringe guy before that, maybe Arslan or Micki Nielsen as a tune-up. Hell, go ahead and fight Huck again, that was a FOTY the first time around. Whatever he does, he better get himself right by the time the WBSS ends, because it's gonna be a free for all for the vacant belts if Usyk and Gassiev go to HW like they are saying.

As for Wlod, not sure where he really goes from here. He's not gonna have a chance against any of the young guns, so is he just in it to make money? Does he want to be the gatekeeper of the division now? I guess he could test young guys coming up, but he seems to want to fight in front of his fans in Poland, so not sure how realistic that is. Might as well bulk up and move up to HW and get one last payday against his countrymen Adamek, I'm sure that would be huge in Poland. Seems like all the Polski's are always friends though and don't want to fight each other.

Wow either Glowaki underestimated, pissed off training, or this dude is just an undiscovered prospect who has been matched tough his first six fights resulting in only 1 KO.

Or like noatherposter said - at the heavier divisions - being feather fisted is all relative. Every punch matters.

But Glowaki is a real talent, and is good.

Surprising but Glowacki still should have been in the WBSS tournament over Perez or Kudryashov.

Why are you surprised, I already showed you Dorticos vs Miranda the other day. Cruiser is not a great division. The signs are all there, Vlasov, Bellew breaking into the top 5, Dorticos struggling with Miranda, Glowacki against this scrub etc.

Couldn't find the fight, but he's a peek at the KD. Starts right after he got dropped, but if you fast forward to around the 1:20 mark they show it.
