    As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, the World Boxing Association (WBA) Championships Committee called the fight between Manuel Charr and Fres Oquendo for the Heavyweight Title, which is currently held by Charr. The purse bid took place earlier today and BoxingScene.com was notified that Oquendo's handlers walked away with the victory. They bid $600,000 to secure the rights to the fight - while Charr's team bid $101,000.

    What a joke fight for a World title. A mediocre fighter in Charr against 45 year old grandpa Oquendo who was never really good.Oquendo fought the last time 4 years ago when he lost to Chagaev BUT is still WBA mandatory LOL !

            Well back when Oquendo was meant to fight Briggs for the belt none of the teams bid anything so this one is an improvement
