Roy was just unbelievable in his prime!
I always say if they made a new boxing video game and they had create a boxer template that Roy's style, talents and skills would be the most picked of them all...maybe besides Mike Tyson!
But skill for skill, Mayweather is on a different level! Adjustments on the fly is one of the most uncanny abilities a fighter can have and Mayweather had that in dpades which is what kept him from losing even past his prime!
A fight between both on all things equal with size an weight would be ONE of the greatest things to witness in the ring!
Jones unstoppable offensive tsunami vs Mayweather's nigh impenetrable defensive gauntlet!
Would be a great fight, i lean towards Jones getting a majority decision win! He would pick up on that he can't outbox Floyd and would have to make him fight and throw more punches!
With Roy's speed, athleticism, power and explosiveness would overwhelm Floyd late after losing some early and mid rounds of Floyd countering intelligently an evading shots while timing Roy!
What a fight it would be, i would pay top dollar to witness that!Comment

name me ONE fight floyd mayweather has fought that was an ALL-TIME GREAT HALL OF FAMER WHO WAS IN HIS PRIME THAT HE BEAT? go....
Roy Jones beat a PRIME Bernard Hopkins AND James Toney and Virgil Hill and didnt come close to losing round until he came back DOWN in weight from heavyweight to Light heavyweight to fight tarver. mayweather in his PRIME was gettin' buzzed around the ring by demarcus corley, zab judah and jose luis castillo name me ONE fighter while Roy Jones was in his prime that ANYONE of yall can name that came CLOSE to winning rounds against Roy Jones? imagine if there was a fighter like Roy Jones at 135, 140 or 147(roy jones began at 152lbs)**********NOBODY))))) would EVER say that floyd mayweather could beat a Roy Jones Jr in his PRIME. who in the F-U-C-K has mayweather fought that is ANYTHANG like Roy Jones??? Roy Jones fought a "philly shell" ATG James Toney who he DOMINATED in his PRIME. Name me ONE person mayweather fought that was in their PRIME and is an ALL-TIME GREAT. name me ONE. Please
Define "PRIME"? Were they undefeated? Were they lineal belt holders? Were they relevant? The word prime is purely subjective.
That said here's a hit list of Floyd (you know this already):
1) Corrales
2) Gatti
3) Zab
4) Oscar
5) Cotto
6) Mosley
7) Marquez
8) Pacman
9) Castillo
10) Hatton
11) Canelo
These guys will all be enshrined in Canastota's Boxing Hall of Fame. All the other guys that Floyd beat from 2005 to his last fight were all legit belt holders or the top contenders at their division with the exception of Sharmba Mitchel and Berto.
Roy is probably my favorite boxer and it's not his fault that the LHW division was weak. He cleaned it out completely but to say that Roy's record is better than Floyd is to smoke some very powerful shyt.
I know you will find ways to discredit Floyd's wins but I can do the same about Roy and I will not do that.Comment

Mayweather Measures Up With Greats
May 3, 2012:
More impressive than Mayweather's own connect percentage is that of Floyd's opponents against him. They land a mere 16 percent of punches thrown, the lowest collective figure recorded in CompuBox's 4,000-fight database.
http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/i...-boxing-greats
And Loma has only 11 fights. He'll get more experienced and his stats will improve.
