I agree Calzaghe is under rated. I don't know if I'd put him above Hagler, Hopkins and Jones, but he's in the same league. All four are all time greats. Even though Calzaghe's career is a bit light on big fights, when you take everything into account, his achievements still show how good he was. No one had an answer for his speed, fitness, will to win and underrated southpaw skills.
I've noticed he punched differently earlier in his career, the left hand that put Eubank down was genuinely powerful, but we never saw that later in his career, so I believe that his hand problems were the reason he didn't get more stoppages. He knew how to punch properly, as well as how to do everything else well.
